A based film on a boy who can not smell and the its director, Amole Gupte finds the best way to turn that around, create a miracle which gives the boy the nose of a bloodhound. People suffering from Congenital Anosmia have to live with more than just not being able to smell. They often go undiagonised. For those who do realise they are lacking something despite the absence of an apparent disability, they tend to copy acts of others and replicate them so as to not raise questions. Here’s my take on Amole Gupte’s ‘Sniff’ failing to show congenital Anosmia with a bad smell.
